Horse slaughter is an ugly underground industry. Collectively, the Officers of the Coalition have spent decades in the dark abyss of this slaughter pipeline learning as much as we can...the players, the crimes, law enforcement and elected officials who turn their backs on the abuse.
It's all so well hidden from the untrained eye.
We contend that there are only 3 reasons to believe in the continuance of horse slaughter: 1) you financially gain from the slaughter industry 2) you are cold hearted human or 3) you do not know how truly horrific the horse slaughter pipeline and “process” is.

We believe that while we cannot save every horse from death, we can save many. And with the help of our fellow Americans, we can provide those equines whose time has come with a safe, pain-free, humane ending to their lives.
NO LONGER can we allow America to hide this ugly underground slaughter pipeline from the public.
NO LONGER will our politicians get away with passing the buck and failing to pass the SAFE Act and other important legislation to protect our horses from slaughter.
NO LONGER will we allow the shipping of our horses from auction to kill lot to slaughter only to have them be hung upside down by one leg and eviscerated while fully conscious.

In recent times we have seen a multitude of movements here in America addressing grave injustices. Well USHWR-NC says America’s horses deserve to be the center of the NEXT BIG MOVEMENT, exposing the largely underground and often criminal horse slaughter industry along with the inhumanity and heinous cruelty these sensitive and loving sentinel beings are forced to endure.
